Neither one of the matches worked out! Neither one wanted to continue the relationship. Well, the more eliminated, the quicker I get to the one that wants me. People have had wonderful success wtih eHarmony and I'm hoping I will too.
The November 2003 forecast is here. Click here please. This month coming up we have two eclipses and the HARMONIC CONCORDANCE. Read more about the Harmonic Concordance, the Star of David in the sky. It's a doorway to peace and hope. I recommend several websites to visit for more informatoin, show you how to connect the dots in the sky and much more in this issue of Nancy R. Fenn's Monthly Forecast.

We got back from Palm Springs last night. We couldn't get rooms at A Place in the Sun but I'm glad because we really enjoyed the place we did stay at, the Coyote Inn. This is Room #7 where we stayed.

I contacted Mr. Tatiana via email today to see if I had dropped the ball or if he just isn't interested. I was also matched up with someone new from eHarmony that sounds very interesting. He is a college professor that has a summer home in San Diego.
Big wildfires out here in San Diego. It's always upsetting. This one was the worst in at least thirty years. It has come pretty close to our homes, but so far, so good.
As a metaphysician, it is fascinating to study the nature of the fire element. I felt the same way when I was scuba diving and learned more about the nature of water.
Not to dehumanize the tragedy and cost in destruction, but this fire is making "tornadoes" that are 25 feet high. What makes the fire so greedy? They are prosecuting the hunter who started one of these and the other may have been started by two nineteen year old boys.
I'm finishing up the article on Saturn in Cancer. At least I could concentrate better today. We have our things packed and sitting by the door just in case. We still plan to try for the desert tomorrow if the news is good when we get up. If you are safe tonight and had a "boring day", it's time to count blessings.

We are going to Palm Springs on Tuesday and Wednesday. I considered staying at A Place in the Sun which is essentially the bungalows that were constructed to film the movie of the same name, which starred Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor and Raymond Burr. But I opted instead for a place that will take pets so Odie can go with us. I am looking forward to being in a swimming pool, something I missed this summer .. didn't get enough of.
Raymond Burr is one of the personalities we explore in the Saturn Return series. He has Saturn in Cancer and led a deeply meaningful life of personal responsibility in a dignified and exemplary manner. So much of what goes on with Saturn in Cancer people goes on beneath the surface. Please visit click here to get a look at the series in progress. Feedback welcome. Liza Minelli is another. What do you think of her current situation?
Today's mail:
Someone writes, "I don't trust that mean ol' universe. quick duck here comes an asteroid." I reply, it take millions of years for an asteroid to reach this earth. You can learn to see things coming. You can learn to see them coming a mile away. Then it isn't a shock when it hits you. You could even have moved a little to the left.
Someone else writes, "My conflict is that of the mention in one of the articles, referring to the God of the Underworld in one of the houses. Please define this type of terminology. Since there is only One, how can there be others????" I reply, my dear xxx, the only things we ever have to fear are inside of us. For example, there is more darkness in your home right now than you will ever find on one of my webpages. She is being abused by a violent, bi-polar alcoholic adolescent male and she thinks Pluto is on my webpage.
The God of the Underworld is a reference to the planet Pluto and a force in our lives which sometimes makes us feel like we are in hell but it is a hell of our own creation. We are the gods in our own universes. Read more ....Literary illlusions are important maps of our inner world. If you are reading this and you are young, please consider, as you grow older and time permits, giving yourself good mental food such as the Iliad. Or the Odyssey. Or the Aeneid. Read from the list of world classics. This is like giving yourself nutrition rather than dining on the run from the drivethrough at McDonald's.
Our minds develop like muscles in the workout room. Learn a foreign language, especially Latin, if you are still in school. These are important building blocks to understanding the collective unconscious.
Also read Joseph Campbell. He explains so beautifully about the power of myths. Myths are alive today and should always be read in the present tense and the first person plural.
The woman who wrote me that letter has Pluto living in her own home. Her beloved family dog is dying of cancer. Her own child tyrannizes her and lives in the dark world of mental illness and violence. She lives in fear and denial, another kind of darkness. Other things are dying in her home besides her animal companion. All of these things will pass.
Learning about the myths of Pluto, the God of the Underworld, will give her the language she needs to describe her experience. She won't find it in Cosmo.
When you read, read broad and wide. It will inform your understanding of your inner world. Caveat: Alexander Pope has said, as true in the 21st century as it was in the 18th, when he wrote it:
A little learning is a dangerous thing;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again.
ATTRIBUTION: Essay on Criticism. Part ii. Line 15.

This is Alexander Pope
I never realized before how much more you learn when you are writing an article than when you are just studying the material. I am writing about Saturn in Cancer right now. People who were born towards the end of World War II and those who were born in 1973-75 have Saturn in Cancer and are experiencing their first and second Saturn Returns. There are many famous people from the past as well, such as Shakespeare, Napolean and the Marquis de Sade.

This imageof the Marquis from the movie Quills is printed with permission from the artist, LaDivineMarquise@hotmail.com.
The Marquis, like many people with Saturn in Cancer, became obese in later life. Obesity is a special challenge with this placement and it may be one reason we are going to be hearing more about this in the news while Saturn makes this transit in the next couple of years.
Others like this are Fatty Arbuckle, Jackie Gleason and Raymond Burr. The Marquis de Sade graced our language with the word sadism.
If you'd like to take an early peek at the way the article is developing, you can look at some of my data wrap ups at Saturn Return and Important Saturn Return Bulletin and also tables with specific dates for you to check out and some information about some of the people from the past and present who are famous with this aspect click here

This month it's been WILD ANIMALS 1, TRUSTING OR DELUDED HUMANS 0.

A typical representative of this view is Timothy Treadwell, a controversial advocate for the endangered brown bear, who said of his favored creatures, “These bears are so much better than people…They do no damage…They are basically peaceful.”
Last week, Treadwell and a female companion were attacked, killed, and eaten by a brown bear in an Alaska park. Park rangers had repeatedly warned Treadwell to keep his distance from the bears, but he had not heeded the advice, claiming he was more likely to be killed by an angry sport hunter than a bear.
An air taxi pilot who arrived to pick up the couple contacted the National Park Service and troopers to report a brown bear was apparently sitting on top of human remains in the camp. What remained of Timothy Treadwell, 46 - author, filmmaker and celebrity for his unorthodox views on the animals - was recovered from the Katmai National Park in Alaska this week. His bear attacker had buried part of him in a so-called food cache.
Treadwell had lived among the bears every summer for the past 13 years.
Please read more .
I'm writing an astrological article about Roy Horn right now. Let you know when it's published.

BBC NEWS | Asia-Pacific | Siberia find revives yeti legends Check it out. I love these things. The older the better. If it happened within one thousand year, it hardly gets on the screen. That's how long I feel I've been around. I heard the Gallup Organization bragging that their survey for Strengthsfinder was the result of SEVENTY YEARS of studying human nature. That's not even one person's life time. These people don't know what spiritual means. Some of us Old Souls have been around thousands of years. There are some basic things about people that don't change.
The DreamGroup tonight was fantastic. We are starting to come together as a group. Tonight we analyzed this dream "I dreamed I was standing there in a white shirt with a purple tie." Any ideas?
I've lost track of the time again. I'm in the middle of an article, the third in a series about the Saturn Return. These kids are my Soul Mates. They were born with the same Saturns and the same eclipses.
I order Jung's book about Aion today. I want to get back to my article when I can find it and then one on Sagittarius through Pluto.

My friend sent me this poem and I love it.

A Story About You
Who in their life hasn't planted a peach pit
Just hoping that somehow a seedling would grow?
And then they move on to some other adventure,
and if it comes up -- well, they don't even know.
That's one way of picturing your style of living.
You've planted ideas and dreams unaware.
You've noticed somebody whose heart needs attention
and planted a positive feeling in there.
It's part of your nature.
You may not remember
the kind and encouraging things that you've done...
But everywhere, "peach pits" are growing like crazy,
and people are blooming (I know it -- I'm one.)
Just hoping this could be true. It is such an inspiration. And peaches have always been my favorite fruit. It's a summertime fruit right around this Leo girl's birthday. Also I delighted in the fact that YES, I did several times in my life actually try to "plant" a peach pit. Now that I live in the country and have planted all sorts of things, with differing amounts of success, I know it wouldn't really grow. But I do think it's something everyone has tried at least once.
This reminds me of a great book I'd like to recommend. It's called "Botany of Desire" by Michael Pollan, what a perfect name. It's subtitled: "A Plant's Eye View of the World" and it is delightfully intuitive, different and enchanting. A great read for waiting in lines or in the car for kids after school.
I do hope that people have blossomed in my path because I have devoted my life to healing myself and others. As an infp introvert, it makes perfect sense, doesn't it?!?

Please go here to get this great product!
I got my new INTROVERT Tshirt today and it is just adorable. It's a nice quality Tshirt. I wore it to the grocery store last night and raised some consciousness.

Today in the news: two stories illustrating the metaphysical principles of karma ... live by the sword, die by the sword. Tragically, Roy Horn of "Siegfried and Roy" was mauled by his lion Montecore. At first everyone thought it was just an illusion, part of the show. I hope and pray that Roy lives and can walk again. We are all waiting to hear the outcome of this tragic event.
Comedian Chong, who "grew wealthy glamorizing drug use and trivializing law enforcement in his films" according to the prosecuting US Attorney, used this "fictional character" to sell bongs and other drug paraphernalia on the internet. He has just started his prison term.
This has something interesting to say about alter egos, doesn't it and the place where reality ends and illusion begins.
Rush Limbaugh is also going into drug rehabilitation for addiction to prescription drugs. He is being awfully hard on himself for this, consistent with his character.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and good thoughts ... Odie is doing just great! She's back to normal and I"m so grateful. Pictures follow soon.

I couldn't help but notice that Roy Horn was mauled by his lion Montecore at his second Saturn Return. It makes an astrologer wonder about the basis on his life, what choices he made at 30. At any rate, it is an important course correction and hopefully Roy will live to discover other aspects of himself. It must have been horrifying for everyone in the audience, the show and close to Roy. It is very sad when we forget the nature of things and it is very dangerous.

Did you know it's ok not to like the phone? It's a strong characteristic of introverts. We especially don't like the cell phone. We don't understand why you can't be by yourself for a single minute ... in a restaurant, in line at the bank, waiting in your car to pick someone up. Why wouldn't you read a book instead or just let your mind drift and enjoy a few moments to yourself?
Here are some other characteristics of introverts. Introversion is a legitimate personality type. We are territorial. We move away from lights, sounds and motion. We prefer a quiet, soothing environment. Some of us aren't all that fond of tv either!
Learn more at The IntrovertZCoach. Find out about the 6 Weeks Introverts Recovery Program. It's online. It's distance learning. It's suppportive. It was created BY introverts FOR introverts. It's available now. You will love it and more importantly you'll begin to love yourself.
The Introverts Recovery Program is available in two forms, with or without phone support. It's an online distance learning program with a workbook approach which you can access online or via email. It's a 6 weeks program of self discovery and support, by an introvert, for introverts. It is comfortable, thought-full, introspective and illuminating. Ask more today email me and let's get started on your recovery program.

Please don't force yourself to parties ... please stop apologizing for being quiet and comfortable alone with yourself! Introverts ... there is nothing wrong with us. Let's find out what's right about us. Introversion is a legitimate personality type.

Are you tired of sitting next to guys like this in the office and on public transportation? Here's what one reader wrote today ...
From Mysti in Melrose Park
I have always felt different, unusual, and never felt that I fit in with the world. I would beat myself up internally for not "fitting in" and doing what anyone else did. Why was going to a party so draining and agonizing, or even answering the phone annoying? Everyone else did it. I spent years feeling I was probably socially anxious, and worked on healing myself of that by forcing myself into social situations.
But the truth is that I don't like them. I enjoy people and quiet times. Gentle talk over a cup of coffee, but not the agressive ways of modern existence. I feel drained and exhausted most of the time after work, and just want to spend my evenings alone reading, or quietly with my husband.
I would like to receive guidance on these aspects that not only are a part of me, but I feel make me up. I want to come to a place in my life where I can accept this about myself, and not spend my life apologizing to friends and family for "ignoring" them. I can only take limited doses of them!
Please let me know what coaching consists of, if you do it on the computer, and what your rates are. Thanks so much, Mysti

Here's an email I got today from a young woman in Paris. She also called and we had such a nice talk! She was crying, she was so happy to find out there was NOTHING WRONG WITH HER. Here's what she has to say about being an introvert ... she's an INFP.
"I just wanted to tell you that when I read your article (I’m an INFP too) I nearly cried! I had no idea until this afternoon that there are more of me out there!! In fact, I didn’t know I could legitimize my personality as introverted and this alone gives me great relief. So much of what you said about your experiences growing up are like mine!"
Yes, Friend across the word in Paris, there are more of us out here, justl like you in so many ways. One reason I got divorced so many years ago was I knew I could not take a LIFE SENTENCE OF SMALL TALK. The thought of sitting through horrendously boring business dinners, entertaining socially, even having social obligations made me want to kill myself. I was so depressed and felt so bad, I wanted to die. I thought there was something really wrong with me, but I knew I had to get out of the situation I was in. Today I realize,
Introverts unite! Never again engage in small talk. Set yourself free. Blow bubbles instead. This was a two day chocolate chip cookie baking week. Not the best week in the world.
I found out my car needed to be smogged and I hadn't noticed it on the return form, so I got a parking ticket when we went to the zoo. I also found out the truck that delivers pellets for the fireplace stove is broken down and they have no idea when it will be fixed. I also spent over two hours trying to get a form to work on my introverts website. It's a neat book survey but it's just going to have to wait a few more days while I try to figure out how I can tell if my server handles cgi-bin.
Hadley and I went to the zoo yesterday and it was wonderful. It was an overcast day and not very crowded at the zoo which is very refreshing for San Diego. We agreed that the elephant place needs refurbishing. Hadley wanted to show me the mole rats most of all. I saw a basilisk snake like the one mentioned in Harry Potter; also a yellow and white python (albino) that someone had bred that way.
Well, I guess you knew I was going to put up a picture of a mole rat. Apparently they are the world's most cooperative animal.
