Looking back in time, this was my original comment on Astrodatabank about 911. I still think it's a good answer.

Thank you for providing this forum. This chart is all about communication. It's obvious but to briefly reiterate just a few of the major indications of this: Mercury at the Ascendant, the ruler of Mercury in Sag in the third, the stellium in the 9th including Saturn in Gemini, the Nodes across the 3rd and 9th, Mars in the third, Sun, Saturn and Pluto in a T square mutable.

Everything about this chart asks that the event be interpreted as a message, but symbolically. Any event that impacts worldview and our evolution needs to be interpreted symbolically as far as I am concerned because that is the only way we can try to read God's mind ... what will our future portend?

One unforgettable phrase has come to my mind as I contemplate this chart: In the trial preparation for the offender back in 93, I remember a TIME reporter speculating that the trial attorney would use as one of his defenses that the Arabs express themselves naturally with "fiery hyperbole". Fiery hyperbole is the very nature of their language.

This gives a rich and meaningful interpretation to the chart. The medium is the message. Timothy Leary's statement that is so irritating, yet so fruitful to contemplate is a good yardstick for interpreting this chart and it is the logical conclusion of contemplating this chart.

This event also graphically exemplifies some of the tenets of the great genius in language, Naom Chomsky and his work with transformational grammar. To wit, when one thinks long enough in fiery hyperbole, one expresses oneself naturally along those lines.

This is conceivably a diplomatic message (Mercury in Libra Rising. That otherwise puzzling Virgo Sun in the 12th ... perhaps this is a precise diplomatic message couched in Arabic grammar.)

The immediate result of the event is predicatable through Sullivan's Mars retrograde cycle analysis. It can be read as a war chart easily enough in that context. But I am interested in reading this in terms of evolution. What does this mean to us in our evolution ... that packed 9th house?? What does this mean symbolically.
