For my very auspicious birthday (July 26) ... these are a few of my favorite things
Book: One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and I, Claudius by Robert Graves
Work of Art: Paintings by Mary Cassatt
Class I took: Modern European History with Professor Amov at Grossmont College (now retired); Class I taught: The Goddess Class, two summer ago
Song: Zhdace Horosha ("It's So Beautiful Here, My Soul") a Russian song
Movie: Troy
Date: With Uwe to a German Lieder concert in La Jolla in the 1990's
Best Restaurant: Dining aboard the QEII (Beef Wellington every night and chocolate souffle)
Best Meal: pot luck at one of the apartments I lived in years ago -- they gave a prize for the best dish and those women went ALL OUT! I remember a chicken pot pie to die for.
Birthday: This one of course.
Xmas: 1990's with Hadley, Adel and our friend Emily (who was really a guy named Emil)
Job: Working for PGA, tax attorney (12 wonderful and perfect years in the 80's)
Most fun project: websites
Vacation: with Hadley to Palm Springs last year
Trip: to Russia last year
Cities: San Francisco, New Orleans, Venice (Italy)
Time of Day: sunset in the summer
Massage: Kathleen Estabrook, Mission Hills (lost track of her)
