1. Finish The Iliad.
2. Read the librettos and listen to recordings of The Ring operas by Richard Wagner -- Das Rheingold, Die Walkuere, Siegfried, Goetterdaemmerung -- in preparation for seeing them in Chicago next spring. Also learn as much as possible about them. The Rhine maidens jump around on bungee cords ... like Hermes at the opening of the Greek Olympics (?)
3. Read T. E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom. I ordered it today.

Sounds like some cozy evenings by the fire are coming my way. Introvert heaven!

We haven't had our first fireplace of fall yet but I went and got a truckload of wood pellets the other day and stacked them on the porch by the side of the house.
