Laura Bush ... from the Waist Up
President Bush's relationship with the press is "different" to put it mildly. You can see this easily in his chart, also the dyslexia and speech "issues". To me, his chart shows a brilliant mind with little ability to express it verbally. The two don't always go together. You can visit some of my articles on this topic here:

I'm visiting Washington, DC this winter. The styles are so different on the Coasts ... here in SoCal you could practically wear a designer sweat suit anyway. I have a great business suit I love but I decided I'd better check the lengths women are wearing in DC. Mine hits right below the knees. Why not start at the top with Laura Bush?
Want to see something interesting? Put "Laura Bush" in google and then click "images". You will get a dozen pages of photographs showing Laura Bush from the waist up and a couple of her sitting or standing in a pantsuit. I think in all the ones I saw there was one full length shot of Laura Bush in a skirt (knee length). Hmmmm. No shots of Laura Bush below the waist (she has chunky legs).
Please tell me Someone has not influenced the press to crop shots or publish them not at all. I didn't realize that was still possible at such a mundane level especially with someone as unpopular with the press as Bush. I remember Jackie Kennedy was never photographed smoking although she was a chain smoker. (It was her acknowledged weight loss program.) I would have thought today things were different, at least in the USofA as against the UK where the Royals can control their image pretty definitively still.
