Today's topic is one that is near and dear to my heart ... relocation! I know so many people who are wanting to relocate and here, at last, is an ONLINE QUIZ. Best Places to Live: Compare the Best Cities & Small Towns for You! If you take the quiz, it will recommend a few places for you. Sweet dreams for your future getaway!

I also do an extensive astrology relocation chart which tells you the "nature" of energy in the places you are investigating. For example, if New York hits your Jupiter line, it will bring you health and wealth, but if it hits your Mars line, it will bring challenges and perhaps a mugging or two :-) If it hits your Venus line, new love and possessions, your Saturn line, hard times. It's a good thing to have done when you're getting serious about relocating.

I never did these in forethought because most of my moving was done before I became an astrologer, but in retrospect, they have been very accurate, including a rather miserable high school experience because of being on a Mars line. My Jupiter line runs through Texas where my grandparents lived and I must admit I have always had the most wonderful experiences there, though it is not an option for a permanent move at any time in the future.

Ask me more about a relocation chart and I'll fill you in on the details.

Rebecca Trents of the hugely popular New Age site called ENCHANTED SPIRIT wrote a wonderful comment about my SATURN IN CANCER article. This article is of particular interest to those experiencing their first Saturn Return, born around 1975 and those experiencing their second Saturn Return, born around 1944; also of interest to learning astrologers.

"[T]onight, I had the immense privilege of reading your extensive article on Saturn in Cancer ... as beautiful, disturbing, wrenching and impressive a piece of work as I have seen in a very long time. My God, what an exceptional text you have produced. I feel genuinely humbled to have received the experience of this remarkable manuscript. I just want to grab people by the lapels and make them sit down and absorb this extraordinary creation."

Thanks so much, Rebecca!

Don't wait for Rebecca to grab your lapesl, take a look for yourself. I analyzed the charts of over 75 people for this article.

The Top 10 Ways to Market to Introverts (you know, the ones with the high income)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Statistics indicate that introverts make up 10-30% of the general population but as IQ increases, the proportion of introverts rises dramatically. Since there is a correlation between intelligence and income, you target more introverts as buying power rises. The greater the price of the product or service you are marketing, the greater the chance you are selling to an introvert. It pays to understand your audience.

There are some critical differences in the way introverts initiate consumer dialogue, process information, make decisions and put their decisions into dollars and cents.

1. Introverts are territorial. This includes their personal space.

Introverts don't like interruptions, uninvited visits or phone calls. What's new about that? you may be asking. No one likes telemarketers. But here's the difference that you need to know. Whereas extroverts will huff, puff, hit the high blood pressure button, yell, take a drink or hit somebody, they do answer the phone. Introverts get an unlisted number, a fancy answering machine and they turn the ringer off. Also they have no qualms whatsoever about hanging up on you or closing the door in your face. This is the reasoning: if you are rude enough to invade their private space, you are sub human and they treat you that way. Jackie Kennedy was an introvert who hit photographers with her purse when they got too close to her.

2. Introverts love to read.

See that person over there on the cruise reading the small print on the cereal box? That's an introvert. See that woman across the aisle there, actually reading the inflight magazine? That, too, is an introvert. Whoever thought about putting advertisements in elevators and inside toilet doors had introverts in mind. Well ... it's better than having to talk to the other people in the elevator!!

3. Introverts, despite appearances, are not shy and they are frequently not braindead just because they don't say anything while you are talking to them.

Never assume you have reached your introverted audience just because you have talked to them. As you leave (and make it quick), put a fact sheet on their desk and tell them you would like to hear from them in a few days if they have any thoughts or interest.

4. Introverts are not impressed by personality.

Having none ourselves, except the one we drag out on State Occasions :-) we do not put any value on yours. Please don't be cute, peppy, positive, enthusiastic or motivating. Instead, be polite, know your stuff, get to the point, leave written material and invite a response at a later date.

5. The assumptions, guiding principles, underlying beliefs and expectations of introverts are so different from the extroverted majority that you may not even realize you have a bad map to the territory. May I give you a few examples.

A client of mine recently complained that her husband was impressed with a woman we'll call Monrovia because she hung out with movie stars and threw their names around. My client posed the question, "Why is he impressed with that? We don't even know these people." She was quite serious.
A young man was having trouble with his career and had failed again to establish a permanent position for himself as a commnity college professor despite talent and dedication. A peppy extrovert suggested that he make the best of it. "At least tell people you got a better offer but it won't materialize for a few more months. Do a little window dressing. That way you won't feel like such a loser." His reply: "That's ridiculous. I am very disappointed and what other people think about it makes no difference at all."

6. Introverts hate being rushed.

This means N O H Y P E. Never. Not ever. No hype.
Not only does it not work, it is exhausting to introverts because we give energy while extroverts take energy. As every introvert in the world is only too aware, people who use hype suck more energy that should be legally possible in 52 states.

7. Introverts are greatly afraid of making mistakes in public and of humiliation in public during a learning period.

If you have a new product or service for them to try, make sure they will be able to do this in private. Give clear instructions and a demonstration. Then leave it with them and go!
A brilliant introvert I know has many interests and hobbies beyond her career as an attorney. She is an intense amateur astrologer. As a result of her interest in astrology, she became curious about astronomy and the Night Sky. Her daughter surprised her on her birthday with a gift basket that contained a Night Sky map, a flashlight covered with red cellphane, several printouts about the mythology of the constellations and suggested that take their chairs up on the roof to get at it.

Bad idea. The woman couldn't figure out how to relate the scale of the map to the stars in the sky and became absolutely speechless with mortification and humiliation because of the presence of a third party as well.

Sound ridiculous? Not to your favorite introvert.

8. Introverts hate small talk.

If you would like to make an excellent first impression, be polite and come quickly to the point. Above all, don't ask personal questions and by that I mean things you think don't matter such as how many children I have or what work my husband does.

9. Introverts hate phones and especially cell phones.

Don't expect a return phone call. We figure, why bother someone when we can dash off a note, leave a message on an answering machine or click off an email.
Above all else, do not use your cell phone in our presence. Introverts are hysterically vexed by what we consider this ultimate rudeness. If you want me to give it you straight, we also think you are pathetic because you can't be alone for a moment with yourself.

10. Introverts say what they mean.

No means no.

No.

No.

No.

Don't use that cell phone in my presence.

Here's a frightening wrap up of the movie that connects obesity and health problems with junk food that's being shown at the Sundance Film Festival. It is very compelling evidence. Add tv and you're on your way to weighing too much!SUPER SIZE IT, PLEASE

Last weekend Hadley and I went on the train ride at Miller Creek. Like the girl in the photo, we got to blow the diesel horn. It brough back memories of lying in bed in Rockdale, Texas, at my grandmother's and hearing the Texas Chief heading through town. There is nothing as nostalgic as a train whistle. It's harder than it looks to make it sound right. We paid a little extra to be able to sit up in the engine and the guys were really, really nice. It was a beautiful day.

I'm writing an articvle on the Aquarian Age this week. You can check its progess here AGE OF AQUARIUS. I plan to include some work on the myth of Promethus, the quintessential Aquarian, as well as some mention of cloning and other medical and scientific endeavors that may mark the coming 2,000. I may try to find a character in fiction as well. I tnink the concept of "chrontypes" might fit in here, too.

I'm also researching an astrological article on Admiral Lord Nelson, a truly fascinating person. Aside from his military prowess and unforgettable personality, he had quite a way with words. "Twas he who said, "England expects every man to do his duty." Or signaled it, I should say. As well, he is the one who coined the phrase, "Band of Brothers". My friend Pete gave me the viddeo to watch recently as our fathers were in the Battle of the Bulge.

:ast but not least, the best friend of my deceased father is in town this week and will be visiting with me tomorrow, which will be a solemn and wonderful occassion. We haven't seen each other for about ten years ... since my father's death.

Tomorrow evening Hadley and I are seeing Hamelt . I cann't believe that when I called the box office, I heard a long apologetic message about the "availability" and "access" to Shakespeare. When I ordered my tickets weeks ago, I could hear fear in the voice of the employee who asked me why I was buying tickets. I said, "Quite simply, I will go anywhere in San Diego County to see Shakespeare." She seemed hysterical at my reply. Perhaps they are having trouble selling tickets to Shakespeare. As it is, they are cutting the play in half.

I will have to look closely at Hamlet this time to see if he is the perfect introvert or what. There's a difference between introverted and neurotic.

According to the BBC, animal diseases could be the biggest threat to human health in the years ahead, leading scientists have warned. Experts at a Royal Society conference in London said there was a growing risk that more viruses will jump the species barrier and infect humans. There is also a possibility this is what happebed with SARS.

This is consistent with Pluto in Sagittarius, though I don't believe anyone woudld have predicted it.

Here is the link to Unity's Daily Word for Weight Loss UNITY DAILY WORD FOR WEIGHT LOSS. With prayer all things are possible.

The World Health Organization is considering the measures it will adopt in fighting worldwide obesity. For more information about this from a metaphysical perspective, read SpiritualMinds.com - Here's to Your Good Health with Astrology and Having Eyes to See. This is such good news. My grandmother was obese and I learned early about nutrition and exercise as ways to stay healthy.

The body type in the photograph is particularly prone to heart attack -- where all the weight is carried above the waist.

I hope this year we'll all make healthy choices.

Here's another resource. Try Weight Enough.

Have you finished cleaning out for the New Year? The more old stuff you give away or discard, the more room there is for the new. Get your house sparkling clean. Then the goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of Good Fortune, will stay in your house all year. Keep your thought positive. Dwell on what you want, not want you don't want!

Here is a forgiveness technique that can transform your life. Spend half an hour every day mentally forgiving everyone that you are out of harmony with, or are concerned about. Subconsciously they will respond. If you have accused yourself of failure or mistakes, forgive yourself, too.

Many people are never permanently prospered, no matter what else they do, because they have not done this. Until they forgive, their prosperity does not come. the word "forgive" simply means "to give up". Forgiveness is a pleasant inner act that helps you "give up" negative emotions and clears away the blocks to your good. As you practice forgiving yhourself and others daily, the results in increased health, wealth and happiness will astound you!

From Catherine Ponder to you! We are forming a new prosperity seminar for February. If you're interested, let me know. It will be at Paula Milford's house in Mission Hills ... beautiful setting, great hor d'oeuvres and the same phenomenal success we experienced in the groups last summer.

ARE YOU READY TO TAKE YOUR LIFE TO A NEW LEVEL? ARE YOU EATEN AWAY WITH WORRY ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE? DO YOU FEEL ON THE BRINK OF BANKRUPTCY?: DO YOU DOUBT YOUR ABILITY AS A WOMAN TO SUPPPORT YOURSELF? ARE THERE THINGS ON YOUR WISH LIST THAT MONEY CAN BUY?

If the answer to any of these questions is YES, join us in February for the four week prosperity intensive at Paula's.

Finally, a minute to catch up in the blog! So many of my clients have taken leaps forward this year. It looks like the Year of the Monkey is a real winner already.

Here are some winners: (1) met a new man at the postoffice who looks like "the one"; (2) third interview for Dream Job; (3) won highest award in state for achievement; (4) reached weight goal after six months good efforts; (5) overcame fears of public speaking, (6) signed up new assistant and packed three seminars full; (7) leaving job of 8 years to marry a childhood sweetheart!

I hope your year will be as good as these have started out to be! If you need clarification or support, please don't hesitate to call for a reading.

May I encourage you in your goal setting process to take every goal and "up it one"? Life has a way of grinding us down to where we don't expect as much anymore. But this year, expect great things.

My ONLINE INTUITIVE DEVELOPMENT COURSE is launced this week, the result of many weeks of planning and many decades of preparation! Are you interested in developing your intuition but find it difficult to get out at night after a long day at work? Are you in an area where there are few classes available or you don't know who to trust? Are you reluctant to battle the traffic? Do you find your schedule changes all the time?

The Online Intuitive Development Course may be perfect for you. Take the course at home, at your own speed, at times when you choose! The course is interactive and includes information, exercises and feedback loops on every page. You will be interacting with me, personally, as much as you like during the week via email. Your intuition will grow by leaps and bounds over the six weeks, no matter what your level at starting.

Learning about intution is really fun! It's one of the most positive things in this world. That's why I like it so much and I think that you will, too. I surpressed my intuition as a child in a family that was skeptical and overly intellectual. They thought "all that stuff" was imagination. I learned to bring my intuition back strong and so can you.

Intuition can keep you safe in the world and also make you luckier. With good intuition you will tend to be in the right place at the right time.

Let me know EMAIL ME if I can answer questions for you but most of all, TRUST YOUR INTUITION.

Ask, "Is this the right course for me?" and listen for the answer, from the still, small voice within.

I'm starting the year off with the 5-10 day Neera fast. Good way to get centered in the mind and body. I'll let you know how it's going. But first, I have a tea and Italian dinner tomorrow night.

I use my Prill Water Beads in the purified water so these ingredients are enhanced.Madal Bal Natural Tree SyrupIf you pull up this page, watched the macaw at the top -- it's actually as flash and it moves slowly and very realistically. It has always fascinated me to watch birds blinking. You can see their intelligence in their blink.

The Chinese New Year isn't until January 22, giving you more time to fine tune your wishes for the year. Most of us find these extra 22 days very helpful, as the blur of the Christmas holidays fades into the rear view mirror and we bring the New Year into focus.

Please let me know if you would like me to chose a personal Feng Shui "cure" to enhance your goal setting for the coming year. Click here to begin your order .

We saw House of Sand and Fog tonight, my daughter's choice, and what a sad movie. One girl on drugs ruined the lives of at least 8 people. Of course there was embellishment to the story but basically, that was it.

I discovered an artist I like very much tonight, Schwebel. These are both paintings of Bathsheba.

And Bathsheba over New York

And this is a picture of Christ by Leonard da Vinci which I had never seen before.

I think this is one of the most beautiful renderings I have ever seen. Maybe it's unfinished and that's why I haven't run across it. It's pensive but not suffering, which I like.

I found a great new used bookstore today and bought Barbara Tuchman's DISTANT MIRRORs which my daughter has been reading and recommends highly. Is there anything more wonderful than finding a convenient new ised bookstore?

Mercury went direct today and hopefully things are moving forward in your life again.

I'm offering New Year's Feng Shui "cures" until January 22, which is Chinese New Year. Also, have you thought about having your pet blessed for the New Year?

Differential Diagnosis in Psychiatry: How to Distinguish Paranoid Schizophrenia from Cell Phone Use

Social Distance: The individual with schizophrenia will generally retreat to a considerate distance from others when he needs to converse with his voices. The cell phone user will stand right next to you, talk in a loud voice, and gesticulate in your face.

Safe Driving Technique: The cell phone user often needs to look at his phone to dial while driving, causing him to drive over yellow lines and endanger others on the road. The individual with schizophrenia does not need to dial, and thus is a much safer driver.

Restaurants: The cell phone user is more likely to be talking loudly in a quiet, expensive restaurant. The individual with schizophrenia is less likely to be noticed because he usually has his conversations in eateries where the ambient noise drowns out his conversation.

Response to Treatment: The individual with schizophrenia often seeks help for his or her difficulties, and generally responds well to treatment. The cell phone user is remarkable for his lack of insight, and his resistance to any form of social, medical or legal intervention.

I read a good book on the plane called The Alchemy of Illness. The author has reached some of the same conclusions I have about illness ... except that you can skip the part about getting ill. It always surprises me when people are applauded like heroes for looking for cures for cancer. Why wait until someone has cancer when it could be prevented by many available changes in lifestyle?

My favorite thought from this book was "the infuriating interdependence of the rich and the poor, the well and the sick, the strong and the weak." Having been all of those things, well ... what do you think?

Happy New Year! I had a wonderful time in Chicago, best ever! We went to see ROSE RAGE.

Here are two reviews, the good and the bad. NEGATIVE REVIEW OF ROSE RAGEand POSITIVE REVIEW ROSE RAGE I thought it was fabulous. Among other things, an all male cast. The theater was set on the top floor of the building at the end of Navy Pier with a fairyland view of the Chicago skyline ... just like the opening of the movie, "Chicago".
