A Big Time will be had by all Next Month!
A quick response may be required by you around October 27 so let's get ready ....

There will be a Solar Eclipse October 13, 2004 at 21 degrees Libra and more importantly with the Full moon a Lunar Eclipse on October 27 at 5 degrees Taurus.
EMAIL ME to find out where this eclipse will hit in your chart if you don't know.
Here's the heads up for the Lunar Eclipse on October 27, the more important of the two. Look for more updates here and on my website BeMyAstrologer.
Eclipses are the Wild Cards of the zodiac year. They bring news of big events into lives, such as marriage, divorce, birth of a child, promotion, sale of a home, cross country move, health problem graduation, job offer....
Eclipses often bring events into our lives which we thought might never happen, such as being offered a chance to publish a book, close a deal, make a public appearance, meet the right person. Sometimes a door is opened that was previously closed!
Eclipses often put us in a time warp. They bring events or opportunities which we thought were months or years away.
All news that arrives within 4 days of an eclipse should be taken seriously, literally, in fact. Even if it is bad news, the wise position is to assume there isn't much you can do about it and move forward. On the upside, you may get good news that you are required to respond to very suddenly, so get ready. Get poised. Get rested. Review your goals in life and their meaningfulness. Review your values. Have they changed lately?
This is an excellent time to get an astrology or Tarot reading.
Astrologer Susan Miller advises, "Take notice of ALL news and signals you get near the eclipses. While often news is delivered in a dramatic and obvious way, sometimes the news will come in much more subtly, as a secret or as a piece of gossip. Nevertheless it will foretell dramatic changes to come."
Sound exciting? It is! Stay tuned for further developments and remember that these transits are affecting your friends, relatives and loved ones as well. It will be a very busy and exciting month for all of us.
If the eclipse occurs near your Sun or Rising Sign (5 degrees Taurus) guard your health as you will be impacted more than others. Email me if you're unsure of the degree of your Sun or Rising Sign.
Susan Miller continues, " Eclipses shine the bright light of truth to the part of your life that is touched by the eclipse. Most of the time, eclipses act as brilliant illuminators, revealing a condition that you were unaware existed. They can also act as catalysts to a major life decision. Also under an eclipse, you may finally understand the true character of a person near you.
Imagine that a puzzle piece fell out of the sky into your hands. This new piece of information, when added to the overall picture of your puzzle, will change your understanding of it and bring you a flash of insight. You may say to yourself, For the first time, I understand! Now you have a full picture of the situation and can make a fuller, more realistic appraisal of what that it means to you, and what you must do next. You will gain maturity and seasoning.
This Lunar Eclipse in Taurus and the one earlier in Libra are both ruled by Venus, the planet which went retrograde and crossed the Sun in June ... except dramatic developments this year in the area of heart's desire, relationship and other matters ruled by Venus.

THE NIGHT HAS A THOUSAND EYES
art by XFiles Shippers
"When we assert intuition, we are therefore like the starry night: we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes." -- Clarissa Pinkola Estes PhD.
Dear Nancy,
You are completely awesome!!
Uncomfortable in a body!! Whoa!! I know I've never met you or told you this, but it has been a MAJOR issue in my life. It was the main subject of concentration with my first session I recently did with .... Amazing stuff.
Thank you so very very much for this reading. As soon as I get some extra funds, I will order the full one. This was really incredible and you are so talented. All my gratitude.
Love and light,

Here's a special Hallowe'en article about introverted kids' preferences.painting by Hadley Ajana
Hallowe'en BOO BOOs for Little Introverted Kids
Hallowe'en is right around the corner. All the kids are really excited, right? Wrong.
Not all children are as happy about Hallowe'en as you'd think.
Some of our more lavishly celebrated children's holidays are planned with extroverted children in mind. What about the remaining 30% who are different? 30% of all children are introverts.
Please don't feel sorry for us. We're not extroverts who failed to become the life of the party. Introversion is a legitimate personality type.
I'd like to take a moment to advocate for the kids like me. We're introverts!
Now, don't get me wrong. We love a good time and we sure love our family. It's just that we define fun a little differently than our extroverted classmates.
Let's plan a Hallowe'en that works for introverted kids, too. Then we'll branch out to Christmas and Easter. We're on a crusade to raise consciousness.
Here are some of the things that can stress introverted kids and why.
Introverts are territorial.
Someone can't take our seat, tug at our sweater, put our toy away, grab the book out of our hands or scoop us up unexpectedly for a big hug and kiss without ruffling our feathers. Please give us our personal space, no matter how cute we look all dolled up!
Introverts need time alone to recharge their batteries.
If forced into a loud, crowded, brightly lit environment full of colors, smells and new sights for too long, we may become exhausted, irritable and out of sorts whether that's throwing a tantrum or throwing up. For us, less is more. Please limit our experiences of things like this to the absolute minimum! Your fun can be our ordeal
Introverts value privacy.
The whole idea of donning strange clothes or costumes and parading around in front of people is something that brings no inherent rewards for us and can be the ultimate stressor. If we could do without the parade and even admiring others in the parade, we'd be pretty happy. "Admiring others" takes a lot of energy for an introvert. It isn't a passive experience for us. We give energy -- and extroverts take energy from us -- when we're out and about.
Introverts fear failure in public and experience deep humiliation because of it.
If we're not prepared for our latest "public" Hallowe'en experience, it can be very traumatic. We don't like being thrown in to a situation for which we're not prepared. Please don't take us to a new event, location, or creative way of celebrating this occasion without warning. Whatever you're doing with us for Hallowe'en, please go through it with us beforehand and if there are social requirements, give us some tips of what to say at the absolute minimum to meet parental standards so we can win!
Introverts hate small talk and being touched by strangers, shaking hands, etc.
Does this sound like we want to go door-to-door in anybody's neighborhood … even for candy? I mean talk about a double bind. Couldn't you just give us some candy and skip the rest?
Introverts don't like to rush.
If we're rushed, we're miserable, no matter what else is going on. If we have to endure the Hallowe'en crush, better let us amble up and down one trick 'r' treating block or down one aisle at the carnival rather than rushing us through six in one hour. Too much. Too fast. Too terrible.
If you're keeping us at home - which is sounding better all the time -- please don't make us open the door and fuss over everybody. It's exhausting. We wouldn't mind hanging back and watching you open the door, though. That's fun for us! We like to watch.
Do some little introverted kid a great big favor and share this with parent and teachers!!!!!!!
"I loved them more than people sometimes." -- Leslie
"the sad part was that i was more attached to my pets
then most people even in my family." -- Evonna
Nancy's article, True Love for Little Introverts is appearing here at the Almost Heaven website. It's about how much introverted kids love their pets. Also visit About My Pet and Ygraine and the Dharma of an Introverted Dog.
One of my alltime favorite movies is out now in the Criterion Collection, Fanny and Alexander. The movie was originally released in 1983 and is a career retrospective of famous Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. If you're interested in prepurchasing a copy, click here. This was the Swan Song of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman and it is an eloquent statement about loving people just the way they are. The family he depicts are varied and realistic, each in his or her own way. Like many European films, there is more introspection and less "A C T I O N" than in American films and, as such, it is especially appealing to an introvert like me. Most of the story is told through the eyes of the young boy, Alexander.

A client responds: "So sorry I haven't sent a response...i've been busy and suffering from intermittent depression. But, I have to say your chart reading was awesome, inspiring, and thought-provoking. I think you have a pretty accurate picture of who I am, what I want, and what my core issues are. (In addition to so many of your comments/suggestions, I take "lighten up" to heart---ever since i was a toddler i've been told this!) This has been a really rough year and I sometimes wonder how I will make it to the other side. Your reading definitely gave me hope (but I'm still not quite sure how to do all these things!) Thank you from so much for your talents. I really appreciate your honest writing style and the way you incorporate historical/intellectual references and reading suggestions."

As you know, wellness is my middle name :-) My health was so poor in my late twenties that I completely rebuilt myself inside and out. I changed my lifestyle, eliminated smoking and junk food, learned about nutrition and the mind/body connection. AFter all, isn't that what a Healer does ... first, you heal yourself :-)
As a result of all the learning, research and product testing I've done, Oasis Ageless products are the best I know. They surpass Juice Plus and Usana, both of which I have used for years.
This wonderful blueberry flavored elixir has me feeling like a kid again, playing tennis or jogging two hours a day and thinking more clearly than ever. And I'm no spring chicken chronologically, I'm a winter chicken.
For any kind of intestinal problems, I recommend Gold Aloe which will permit your body to restore its own natural ability to process food efficiently and end "leaky intestines" -- toxins should go out through the colon but if the intestinal walls have become too dried out, toxins will leak out into the rest of the system. We want the intestinal walls to absorb nutrients and pass toxins on to the colon. This product promotes regularity as well.

Life on the other side of 30 is very, very different. If you doubt this for a moment, check out the lives of some of your friends who are over 30. Ask them what happened when they were 28-30.
As a matter of fact, the statement above was made by Napoleon Bonaparte. In complete form, it reads like this, "I need to be alone. I am tired of grandeur; all my feelings have dried up. I no longer care about my glory. At twenty-nine I have exhausted everything."
If you feel this way, you're not alone. Your second Saturn Return, between 58 and 60 ushers in yet another stage of life and can be equally challenging!

I get responses like this every day for The IntrovertZCoach. We are raising consciousness ... introversion is a legitimate personality type.
Hi Nancy,
I always knew I was an introvert but until I came across your site, I believed it to be my major negative trait (something that i had to overcome or change to be successful in life). But now I am learning to accept myself for what I am. I can't say I am fully there yet........there are still times when I see people in groups hanging out or friends going out for parties and wonder why I can't be like them or if I am missing out on life. I guess its b'coz i have been conditioned all my life to believe that. But thnx to you, those days are now few and far between! I know I will be more content with just my books, music and thoughts for company :).
Thnx for helping me and many others discover ourselves!!
You're more than welcome. It's my mission in life to raise consciousness ... introversion is a legitimate personality type. Spread the word!

"I send to you my sincere gratitude and take off my hat to you in honor of your considerable talents and insight to the inner world of your clients and the mastery of your craft. It is obvious to me WHY you are known as an expert in, especially, the realm of 'Saturn Return.' I have had many charts done over the last 35 years and, unfortunately, almost overwhelmingly people have missed the mark for me. I had begun to think I was more than a little crazy to expect 'so much' because I have seldom (if ever) read anything about myself from an astrologer that felt true in terms of my inner world. (The information you have provided fits right in my skin with me -- it is true!).
"And yes, as you have correctly implied, my work and way of delivering information to my clients and colleagues can be unorthodox (read 'raw') already so I can imagine a further development could be even more so.
Interesting that you mention [xxx] which I know to be true from my exploratory and remembrances of the past. I have certainly found [this to be true].

This is one of the photos that surfaced during my recent birthday celebration ( a big one!) and it reminds me of how happy I was as a young mother. My nieces Shauna and Melanie and I were at a family wedding. Melanie, on the right, came home with me to visit. She was such a good little Capricorn girl, she sat perfectly still in my lap all the way home on the airplane, even when I had the dinner tray. Amazing!Tuesday, September 14, 2004
My son-in-law was kind enough to remind us of how excited we got when we entered the Del Mar Fair pie baking contest this summer and didn't even place. So we are not getting excited for this one.

I can't wait to share Nate's story with you. Nate is a 20-year old introvert, a college student in the Midwest, who was willing to share his experience of "coming out introverted" on the website.
"I know that everyone says this a lot, but I have to say it too. It's almost as though I knew all along that I was an introvert, but I just didn't understand it completely or something." -- Nate
I could never have put it into words like that, Nate ... it so describes the way I felt. I learned I was an introvert when my friend Connie gave me the MBTI test. "Why, you're an introvert," she exclaimed. "You need to spend at least half your time by yourself!" That was my eTicket!

Does this sound like you in high school or college ... ?? ...
Nate continues ... "I've never had very many friends, and even if I did, I couldn't keep their attention long enough for us to be able to remain friends. It's always been a challenge trying to keep people interested in me long enough for us to become "real" friends. They'd always say that I was too boring or too quiet. Because of this, I felt as though I had to talk more and be more agressive in my approach to meeting people. After all, who wouldn't want to have friends?
"Unfortunately, that didn't work either because I just couldn't make that switch seem very natural at all. Whenever I talked more and tried to act more "outgoing" for the sake of other people, they could easily "smell a fish" because my acting skills have always been very poor. That's kinda what it felt like, 'acting.' I could keep up the charade for a little while, but I would just get so tired, and worn out, both physically and mentally, and it would start to show. "
It's exhausting, isn't it? Another article of interest like this is called "If I would pick a phrase to describe school, I'd go with 'living hell'. - click here to read the full story.
I hope you enjoy all the new material being added to the site daily. We have one of the biggest and most helpful introvert sites on the web, over 2,000 hits monthly.
Spread the word, it's OK to be an introvert. Thanks, Nate!

RECIPE for Health Food Bars
2 cups corn syrup
1 tablespoon honey
2 cups natural peanut butter, preferably fresh ground
1 to 2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon (or more) cinnamon
2 cups naturade vegetable protein powder (available at health food stores)
3 cups oats, quick or old fashioned, pureed into a powder in a food processor
Mix the first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Stir in protein powder until the mixture becomes too stiff, then use your hands to mix. Add in oats; at this point upper body strength is required. The dough will be very stiff. After mixing, spread in any pan big enough and coat it with non-stick cooking spray. Refrigerate for at least one hour; cut into 30 bars, and place each into a Ziploc bag or store them somehow. They will remain fresh longer if refrigerated. Happy eating!
I tried LINDA McCARTNEY brand frozen health food (package by her husband Paul) ... my advice ... don't go there. The spinach mushroom pizza I bought was inedible and as everyone knows who knows me well, I'll eat anything. Actually I like Amy's brand.

Take my word for it, Linda McCartney's is not good food!Look for more health tips in the future.
The New Moon in Virgo is usually a sedate event, a careful readjustment or two, taking a new course, or buying a new tool are often enough. But this one is jam packed with power as Mars and Jupiter join the lunation while Pluto squares it. It's a time to bring ourselves to higher levels of expertise and efficiency, and this might require cutting out an old habit or two. Pluto brings power struggles so, if you're picking a nit, make sure that attention to a detail is more than a means to control or criticize.
Here's more good advice from Jeff Jawer and the guys at STARIQ. This New Moon is powered by gas guzzling Jupiter and Mars, a rather unthrifty pair for usually cautious Virgo. Applying all this horsepower carelessly can be a considerable waste of time and energy. With Pluto lurking around the corner (square the New Moon) vengeance could be an unseen player in the game. Bringing fears and desires out in the open where they can be addressed directly reduces the chances for deception and disappointment. Passion shouldn't be repressed, even in delicate circumstances, it needs to be harnessed and focused where it can serve individual and collective goals.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, puts this stuff into words like Jeff.
Sun, Moon, Mars and Jupiter sextile Saturn and square Pluto. This is powerful.
September 24: Jupiter goes into Libra. (I hate to see it leave my tenth house ... it was just wonderful for the past two years!!!) With this transit which will last about one year ... a desire to understand opposing points of view can reduce the extreme judgment of religious, political and philosophical prejudice. A more generous attitude about relationships increases the likelihood of establishing new alliances.

There have been several deaths, sudden traumas, losses, switches ... very Plutonic. This must be Pluto going direct -- remember to check back to March to see what was going on in your life. It really is best to wait until the 21st if you can stand it another week!
I'm running (softly) about an hour each day to get in better shape. Today I worked on changing over my shots from racquetball to tennis and my daughter gave me some good tips.
We wonder how we got started on all this. We make a good team, never get upset with each other. She's my baby, after all!!! [And I'm her ma.]
What else is new ... I'm reading The Iliad and I realize now I never read it before, just fits and starts of it in various classes. This is an excellent translation and it flies by. This time I'm studying the role of the gods in the story. Each one is preeminent in his or her own field. Zeus must be obeyed but it is permissible to trick him. That's interesting, isn't it?
I'm also tracking the oaths in the book because I'm going to write an article on oaths. I know in Hamlet for example, that oaths are under penalty of eternal fire and damnation -- and the evil of curses such as Verdi's operas, "Maledictions!!!!!!! -- but I had forgotten the same sanctions applied in classical times. The Greeks expected revenge by Zeus if an oath was broken and later, of course, as their psychology developed the Erinyes, They Who Drive Men Mad.

The planets have gotten all tied up with each other, as a number of them have collected in mutable signs. As they interact, interrelated events will unfold in our lives and in the news. Because Uranus and Pluto are involved, the events will be larger than us individually, uncontrollable and perhaps affecting more people than just ourselves.
The dates of critical events are September 5 -6, 9, 11-15, and 19-21. We will experience events that unfold the expectations that we developed during August, tempered by the things we've done to mitigate the unpleasant effects and amplify the desirable ones. They will carry a tinge of the unexpected as well, but for the most part, the unexpected has already occurred.
And some more great advice from Terry ...
What We Can DoThis Month
We need to be good at completing. Get the old out of the way to potentiate the new that is coming. On the 21st, make a wish (or as many as you want) for yourself. This will amplify the benefits of the new Jupiter cycle which begins on that day. Libras, your "Midas Touch" year begins then. Gemini and Aquarius, you won't be doing too badly either. Before then, we have to give ourselves time to learn the lessons we’ve been working on.
The mutable signs, which have been heavily populated of late, if you recall, [Nancy's Note: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces] are about integrating and making whole. This is our chance to do it. When the planets enter Libra, we get to start new initiatives, and they don't all have to come from within us or right out the gate. The key pitfall of the cardinals is impatience. Don't settle for less than what you want just because it's there. Temper your actions with caution and be willing to wait.

"There are people who are insensitive to noise, but these are the same people who are insensitive to argument, ideas, to poetry and works of art, in short to intellectual impressions of every kind because of their 'tough constitution' and the 'firm texture of their brain'."This statement was made over two hundred years ago by the great German philosopher Arnold Schopenhauer.

Every day I get mail from introverts who are tortured on daily commutes, in restaurants, lines and other public places by the improper use of cell phones. Even a public restroom is not sacred.
It's our planet, too. Let's raise consciousness. Ask someone to please lower their voice, step outside, move 10 feet away or put their ringer on pause. Maybe they will and our world will be one bit better.

I suggested an astrology reading for some clues as to how he could be an introvert and win. My reading of his chart surprised him but listen to this ... two weeks later....
I find this all very fascinating- just 2 weeks ago I was really stumbling about with what to do with my life- your feedback sparked something inside of me- seems like all of sudden I have more energy than I know what to do with- it just feels right
Well- here is where I am at right now- I think have put in close to 4-6 hrs a day since the last time I e-mailed you- found lots of sites and have contacted several people- even stuck my neck out a bit and attempted to start a dialog with one of my professors at school- regarding xxx [the career plan I suggested for him]- he mentioned it in a lecture awhile back- haven't heard back from him yet- will be very interesting to see how he responds.
Don't stumble around in the dark. You can be an introvert and win!!

Health is one of my favorite topics. That's because my health was so bad at 30 I wanted to die. No kidding, that's what I told the doctor before I walked out of his office to heal myself. I have never seen a doctor since except for a freak accident.
I'm a font of wisdom on all modes of healing, also because I'm an infp, called The Healer.
Our tennis has been sidelined this week due to my daughter having the flu. I fought it off with two magical remedies:
Oscillococcinum, the #1 French homeopathic remedy which you can get at Rite-Aid. Learn more HERE. In my experience, if you can catch the symptoms early enough you can avoid the whole nasty thing by taking this remedy right away.
available at Rite-Aid and lots of other places, not just health food stores ... keep some handy this winterThe basis of this remedy is homeopathic. Homeopathy uses this principle: similia similibus curentur :like cures like" -- or more colloquially, as my father would say, "A little hair of the dog that bit you."
Here's a pretty good generic description of homeopathy. I prefer to read about the flamboyant Paracelsus (he from whom our word bombastic comes!) but this is easier to understand. Click here HOMEOPATHY . You can also put Paracelsus in a search engine for a really good time.
The other product is a Vitamin C booster drink. Most of my friends take this with them on plane trips where we have to breath recycled air.

I go to the one nearby, only because it is nearby. It isn't the greatest but I don't have a laot of time.
This afternoon, I tried a hot stone massage for the first time and it was a trip. I wouldn't pay extra for it though! I had a GUY massage person (what's male for masseuse, oh masseur). He was a great big guy and there were no funny vibes in the room. He was really sweet and he did a good job.
Then I had the hydro tub, a real favorite with this Water Baby (Saturn in Cancer). It's just that the tub is made for the average person and I'm only 5'2" so I can't use the handles and foot rests the way they should be used for maximum comfort. Then there was the suana and the facial. They walk you around in your little robe and slippers and a nice big plastic glass of fresh water with a slice of lemon.
I promised myself when I left there I'd be a new person. This is because of something I read from www.tarot.com which I recommend for $6 fabulous readings. Nobody reads cards like I do, but when time and money are an issue, the woman who writes the meanings for the cards on tarot.com has done a terrific job. Her name is Christine Payne-Towler.
The part of my reading I'm referring to said, "Take responsibility for the impact past experiences have had on you, and work through the past until you can extract its value. As a spiritual alchemist, you must skim out the dross, concentrate the essence and pour yourself into a new shape. This transformative process is not easy, or necessarily enjoyable. It is, however, inherently redemptive and one of the most meaningful things you can do to propel yourself ... forward."
So that's what I did at the spa and now I'm a new person.
This reminds me of why I loved Tarot right away upon discovering it. Where else do you get words of wisdom like that without psyco babble, Church Lady morality or someone trying to reduce you to a norm. It's also nice that there is never guilt in Tarot. We pay a price for everything in life, good or bad, but that's all. That's karm and we can always choose.
"Take what you want," says God. "But pay the price."

I'd also like to introduce a wonderful site for Runes. I haven't looked at many but this is a good one. Click here: RUNES.
I drew ISA/Standstill with these words of wisdom from the ancient Nordics.
"You don't understand the meaning of the standstill, the need to surrender. Every rebirth is preceded by a phase of gestation, which is your situation now. You feel your usual energy diminishing and every try to go on will show that. Grow silent, realize where you hold on to the old and let go of it. That, which is full must be emptied, in order to fill up again. Give in and prove to be courageous and faithful, so you can leave the isolation you feel now behind you."This fits with the snakes, raven and death imagery around me this summer. Three people very close to me almost died this summer as well.
Isn't that wonderful wisdom, every rebirth is accompanied by a phase of gestation? Where else do you find such wisdom. This is the wisdom of the ages, like the I Ching.
The Runes are always a little harsh in their wording.
It's the climate.
I use this quotation often to describe the difference between air signs and water signs. Air tortures water. I know this.

I've always been fascinated with the differences in what makes people laugh. One night I was watching Johnny Carson with my ex-husband and he would laugh to die over one joke and me the next. You could have told the marriage wouldn't last.
If you've ever taken a foreign language or lived in another country you know how different these rhings are among cultures.
from Jonathan Cainer
One door will open if you simply, gently try the handle. Another won't, no matter how hard you try. The trouble is, you think you know what's behind both doors. You feel sure the 'easy' one has little to offer you. You feel equally sure that, on the other side of that unyielding entrance is the answer to your prayers. The fact that the second door won't budge seems, to you, to confirm that view. But you're making a big assumption. The openable door is the one that you need to go through. The one which won't respond is the one you should be glad you can't get past.
