When nothing doesn't happen ...

Learn astrology by keeping good little notes in your calendar. Uranus has been going retrograde since mid-June.

Make a note of what's happening right now. I mean in general terms. For example, I would say:

• been sick (old scuba diving injury acting up)
• adjusting to Odie's death gets on the front burner
• planning trips with daughter and sister
• water damage in back yard $800
• loan closed
• new flooring

Uranus will be back at this particuliar place January 6th and some of these things will ring familiar. No way to tell which. That's why I keep small notes on my calendar.

Why do I do this? It is the best way to really learn about transits, inside out. Don't fret if nothing happens. First of all, nothing didn't happen. You just aren't tuned in enough to pick up on it yet but paying attention will develop your sixth sense, your instincts, your extra sensory perceptions, your atunement to energy, your recognition of what things we are looking for and to yourself ... ultimately to the planets. Every once in awhile something dramatic will really "hit" for you and you'll get an unforgettable real life astrology lesson you'll never forget. Then when you're my age teaching others, you can give that example with absolute veracity and convinction.

The big payoff comes February 17 for whatever you were up to in mid June. Run look at your calendar around that time. Nothing on it? Shame on you ... start making little notes. It's the best way to learn. I have these calendars that go back 20 years.

For example, my scuba diving injury occurred when Pluto was square Pluto. Pluto is natally very near my Sun. Right now Saturn is v e r y near my Sun. I want to go back and see in what other delightful ways I may be revisited by that whole unpleasant time in my life. Hopefully I have learned the lesson and rewards are coming, too.

If after a year or two of this you simply cannot connect the dots, please consider another option in dealing with the past and future such as meditation, yoga, even some old fashioned religion. Not everyone is cut out for astrology!!
