Terry Lamb's August newsletter has such a great slant on fixed energy, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius ....
She says, "When we feel the urge to stabilize, we often mistake that for keeping things the same. We can think that what is most familiar is what is best." To paraphrase the rest briefly, there is a tendency to hang on to what we have which results in living in the past.... We may hang on to a job we hate, a toxic relationship or have nightmares about what will happen if we step outside this comfort zone.
It absolutely boggles my mind to imagine Mars in Taurus including a retrograde in October which means it will be in Taurus all the way until February 17, FOUR TIMES longer than it normally spends in one sign. Taurus is the slowest, most conservative sign there is and now it will be strung out like the way your fingers fuse when you get the super glue on them.
Be sure to read Terry's article on how to use this energy constructively. The most unconscious use would be to dig yourself in even further into an untenable situation which you will still have to get out of only it will cost you more.
I like to remember the story of the Sybil at this point. Remember she offered the Romans the books about their future for nothing at first but they ridiculed her. Eventually they paid quite handsomely. But we all knew this would happen!
