Dear Mrs. Garrett,

Ray and I served together on the Lincoln National Board and the news I received today of his passing has saddened me so profoundly that I must write to you. His many talents were invaluable to the Board as they must have been in every area in which he was involved. Still, what always struck me was his great good will and fine sense of humor. I will certainly never forget Ray Garrett and know that his memory must stay vivid and present for all those who knew him.

I send you my regard and best wishes in such a sad and difficult time and know your family will be of great support now and in the future.

Sincerely,

Jill Ruckelshaus
