When
learning, introverts like to connect the dots. They can turn
information in to knowledge and are irritated if this is not
encouraged in the classroom.
Introverts
don't like to "participate in class". They find
this quite annoying. If they have something important to say,
they will speak, but otherwise, they prefer to listen and
learn.
Introverts
process information best through reading. Unlike extroverts,
they don't need to hear themselves say something out loud
in order to learn it.
The
social side of school is exhausting for introverts and they
get little personal reward for participating in group activities.
Therefore, study groups and study sessions with others should
be kept to a minimum. It is annoying to introverts to have
to participate in class in order to get a better grade. If
necessary, they should learn to get this out of the way quickly,
so they can get back to the business of really learning the
material.
Introverts
are the greatest readers in the world. Many were teased as
children for always having their nose in a book!
