7.28.2006 When I was small I thought I could transport myself instantaneously from one point to another and command inatimate objects to my will. For example, I have a memory of once when I was at my Grandma's house and I pretended that I could move from a spot at the bar to a sitting position in the living room, after I had moved I curtly thanked whatever mystical powers had aided me. ~Rebekah

5.20.2006 i believed i had cat powers each time i see a cat they would always come to me and not my sister. also i have some reflexes of cats. my mom told me when i was a baby she and i were on a bus, it was really dark. my eyes would glow in the dark!

5.13.2006 Talking with animals without words; but this was, and is, real, not imagined. I also was always able to see into people and sense how they felt, and often what they were thinking; and this is also quite real. I was also able to "sense or feel"; directions; as an adult, I rarely use a map or ask for directions, as I navigate by "radar" almost flawlessly. As a child, I believed quite completely that I could fly. I made wings out of various materials, skipped along, jumped off of small hills and rocks and such. 8.01.2005 I always believed that I could float down stairs, not the whole set but the one raised step to the bedroom level. When I was around 8 I tried to do so consciously and couldn't and I sometimes wonder if i have ever recovered from the disillusionment. Everything about the stair floating memories were so vivid and emotive I can still feel whatever they were and it gives me a very comforting and empathetic feeling, like whatever it was it provided an understanding between myself and space. Lol, with all the pet telepathy comments! I think we just feel the emotion from our animals, and nothing is more telling for us as introverts as non-verbal honesty.

7.01.2005 As I child me and my best friend believed that we each had special powers. I claimed that mine was that I could talk to animals, and that I could call them from afar. Some times I would try to call a horse in my mind- and it actually came. I now realize (though I had no clue before)that this is because I had an apple that I was eating. We were also at a horse farm.

I also believed that I could talk to animals. I would try to speak to them in my mind and would see if they would respond. For example: I would say "Casey look at me, please" And if she returned by looking I would tell myself I was a success. Those times that it didn't work, I told myself she was busy thinking something out.

My friend believed she could control fire, and that by doing something she could influence how the fire worked.

Me and my cousin were both so excited one time on te banks of north carolina because i would throw some sand into the sea, and say "Come to my ankles." Of course, when the waves washed up, it was to my ankles. I believed this was because of my powers combined with the sand, but really it was because I was standing in the right spot. -- Dana

6.18.2005 My 6 year old son is amazing. He knows what is happening before it happens. He sees inside peoples souls. He has an intense empathy. I do a lot of healing work etc. i teach reiki and pranic healing. He can see the colours that I project and feels the aura of things, he has seen them at times. He has a strong sense of other people or entities. He is very beautiful so it is good that he has these gifts. His father who is not such a great person is quite frightened of him. As a result he has never liked his father a great deal. I guess he see's that he has much to hide. -- Niki

6.04.2005 I hear things a lot, such as people walking around upstairs when I'm home alone, and I've "seen" (felt, really) people too. One night, for example, I distinctly felt the strong presence of a young woman standing at my door; I even knew what her physical appearance was just by inexplicably KNOWING. I was so scared I had to hide beneath my covers. Similarly, the ghost of my long-deceased cat jumped onto my bed one night when I was is a particularly distressed emotional state. I've also been afraid of my closet since I was a baby, having to close it each night; people/beings always seem to hide in my closet, but never under my bed. Basically my senses seem to come alive at night and I feel the presences of people and animals - my mom has it too, so at least I'm not alone with [what I think is] this odd ability. -- Iris

5.20.2005 as a child i lived in my imagination. There was an old building on our farm. i used to go there and have tea parties with my friends. Friends that only i could see. I would often see other people at my parents friends houses. My mother hated it. She had me dianosed with schitzophrenia. The night my grandmother died I asked my mum 'why does Oma have to die' It was a sudden death. The phone rang with the news not long after I had said it. There were all sorts of things like that. When I was 16 I was on a bus and saw a man who had just been hit by a car, i saw his spirit rising from his body. I aslo had a natural abitlity to read palms and analyise peoples faces etc. People were always transparent to me. I get scared still by all of the wierd experiences I have. I worked as a psychic for awhile. But i think it is something you need to be very careful with -- Niki

4.21.2005 Since like 1st grade until 7th grade I thought that I had telekenetic powers. I now kno wthat I don't but I still think that its possible...lol...I'm not crazy or anything I'm just amazed by the supernatural...I like fantasy and so I would act like I could read peoples mind....also I was watching this gameshow where you had to choose whether the faced down card was higher or lowewer than the faced up card....I always guess right, which is a coincidence but what amazed me was that before they flipped the card up I would say a number out loud and guess what?....the number that I would say, would actually be right...I was left in awe....I thought that i was special...lol!!!!

1.11.2005 When I was a child I could see things things. Like my imagination was real. I would think of things that people never thought of. And I would invent things that have been invented that I had never seen or heard of. Now I don't know if this a gift, or a connection to a deeper consciousness. Later in my life I found I could manipulate people the way I wanted, as if their minds were mine to control. But I would feel their pain and anguish. I could look and smell a person and tell thier story. And to taste them would almost put me in their mind and heart. Even one time my friends and I felt as if we shared one mind. We experienced the same thoughts and shared each others feelings. It progressed to a point that everybody in the world had a connection subconsciously that they did not want to access. For fear of what others would think of their thoughts. A man passed by me, looking at me and thinking "I like this world just the way it is dont try to change it. Our society is not ready to embrace our :gifts".

10.22.2004 Kati I answered once before but thought I would add more-as a child my powers were linked to my thoughts. I only had to think about something happening and it would happen. I know that there is a much higher stronger power in the universe that actually made things happen-but I love that even as a child I knew I was directly connected to all that awesome energy. I have seen auras since I was a child. I have felt ghosts. My dad has the same way about him. My Nana saw ghosts too and read auras and feelings  and I miss her today... I wish I could talk with her about my powers and how to use them like she did... I have learned there is always a choice to make in using my powers (the power of the universe). Right now I am facing that choice and so far I'm winning... Guess that is one of my powers too- I trust in the power of the universe which doesn't make me special just a part of the great scheme.

7.16.2004 Billy fter sweating a lot from doing sports,people always got a electric shock many times when they touched my body. This stopped when I stopped sweating. Also,another power I possess, is to recognise bad or good people the first time I see them. Sometimes I doubt about it, because if it is a bad person, sometimes his/her changing behaviours could confuse me especially when he/she becomes my friend. But after something he/she has done to me, I realize my recognition of the first time I see them is always right. almost never gos wrong.This ability of mine still continues.

7.11.2004 Kati As a child I often had visions of future events-things like a boyfriend's accident, my nomadic life, and deaths of family and friends-long before I could have known from logic or external sources. I used to think I could communicate with animals telepathically-sometimes I still can. I have been known to pick up on internal dialog from others. I have had to learn to shield myself against emotional vampires and filter out things I would rather not know about others. The truth is I always thought that all children could do these things with their minds. It wasn't until adulthood that I started to understand that anyone can tap into their "GIFTS" but most don't or won't. Or if they do they will not share due to fear of judgement. I am grateful

7.03.2004 Marti S. I picked up on the emotions of others very easily. Going to a grocery store, or any crowded place, was very uncomfortable, and this was one specific reason. I was a little psychic emotional sponge. Animals have always responded to me, and when I was seven years old, I had a Monarch butterfly land on my right shoulder as I was sitting under a tree. I kept swatting at it, thinkig it was a yellow jacket, and was shocked when I plucked up the courage to look at it. Since then, Monarchs seem to really like something about me. I've had several land on my hand, and was by turns amused, angry and thrilled to see the scene in the movie Patch Adams. I hope the incident with the butterfly really happened to the r/l good doctor and was not just thrown in as hollywood fluff (I refuse to capitalize the name of that town), as it's a very personal spiritual experience to have it happen.

6.29.2004 Christine Von Rossum I saw ghosts in one the houses I lived in when I was younger. Later when I was old enough to understand, my parents said the house was haunted and we moved because of the bad energy in the house and they were frightened living there also.

6.24.2004 Anonymous: When I was pretty young, can't remember what age, my older sister, who had an amazing imagination, made up a make believe world for me that had elves and fairies. She would tell me stories, and she had names for the elves. She told me that one of them sat in my ear, and told me that he talked to me. I think she even drew some pictures of them and cut them out for me. I believed every word that she said! Needless to say, I became very attached to this make believe world and the elves and fairies, and was devastated when she told me that it was all make believe.

David: As I child, I assumed everyone was aware of the same things I was, including when particular people were about to "go home" (die); that a place I was in would play a significant part in my future life; that it was possible to commune across language and species barriers and that to the attuned person, space and time were not limitations to journeying.

Jennifer: I actually had a lot of dreams that came true. One night, for example, I dreamed about band practice. In my dream, I turned to a girl next to me, and she showed me a cave in her lap. It had many different caverns inside of it. The next morning, I went to band practice. The exact same thing happened, only the cave turned out to be a clarinet. She showed me inside the clarinet so I could see all the chambers. It sounds weird, I know. I would dream about events, and shortly after, they would come true. My family thought I was a goofy nutcase, and the dreams stopped when I got older. [Note from Nancy: You sound like a very gifted intuitive, Jennifer. I hope you will develop your gifts later on so your dreams return. They are giving you invaluable information.]

Paul Miles: When I was about 6 I used to say things in different languages that only the people I spoke it to understood, eg: greek to greeks - yet I did not know what I was saying. They used to call me a holy boy. When I was about 11 I used to make clouds disappear - literally. I used to choose one cloud out of a bunch and concentrate so hard until it dissapeared. I am still convinced to this day that it is real. In my late teens I practised mind powers type stuff - a lot of it worked too! If I had total faith that the object I wanted will come to me it would, via circumstance end up in the place that I willed it to. In my early 20's I joined a Spritualist type church and seen some pretty funky
things. I am a Christian now but I still get hunches and premonitions, dreams and other strange things happening all the time.

Laura: I believed in childhood that I had the special power to propel myself up above others' people's head in the air, just like flying, but it felt more like biking, I was actually riding the air and lifting up my body. It happened all the time in my dreams, but they felt so real that I can say I know how flying feels.

Anonymous: I had memories of my past lives. Growin up in a Christian country, I was isolated for that and other beliefs I had that took on a more eastern style. Thankfully, I discovered Buddhism, and now I know I'm not alone.

Penny Blanchard: When I was 5 I wanted a baby brother very much, my Mom told me that I could wish on the evening star and it could happen. It did finally happen when I was 9 years old. After that I wished for a lot of things and felt very confident that I cold get what I wanted that way and I usually did. I liked that because I didn't think praying for trivial things was acceptable in God's eyes. So I still wish on the evening star when I want something just for me and it usualy works even though I am 67 now!

Ursula Ferrero (native language is Italian): I ges I had the same power than I hae know. I read the people mine. I can see if thie persn is ill I can tell wath this person will be on the future, and when some body dai I know long time before I fill seek ,I cant eat , I can sleep until is dead.This Is wath I had when I was 8 years old. it never stop - Feng Shui Clairvoyant

Dena: I used to talk tolittle people when I was in the bathroom and my father would knock on the door and ask who I was talking to, I would say my little friends. Also, I saw some "little friends" out the window (I lived on the first floor) and when my mother came in the room, they left. (maybe dreams??)

Natalie: When I was young, I could fly. I once flew down the stairs and I was amazed. When I told someone in my head about it because I was so excited (I communicated almost all the time telepathically at that time in my life), they told me I had slid down the bannister but I knew the difference and I was certain that I had finally managed to FLY, my dream come true. Sometimes it still happens. It's some sort of out-of-body experience but I can't "make" it happen, I can only "let" it happen.

Cassey: thought I could get my parents to believe any realistic lie I told them and they usually did at first. I was on my way to becoming an habitual liar. I love the movie Talented Mr. Ripley. I don't lie anymore, believe me.

Bhavani Devi: I could reach out with my mind, say if I was on a bus or in a crowd of people, and touch their coat and feel the texture of it. I used to think if I wished for something really hard, I wouldn't get it but if I pretended equally hard that it didn't matter, I would.

Kathleen: When I was six years old, I was riding in the car, and my Mom was talking with my Dad about something from the past. She told me it happened before I was born. I laughed, thinking that that was ridiculous. I told her "I've been around for thousands of years!" She just laughed. We each thought the other one was pretty funny.
